In this lab you’ll learn how to implement an effective user interface for BlackBerry. The lab will use the built-in APIs as well as demonstrate how to extend existing interface elements to create a new, custom look and feel for your application.

Introduction to User Interface Managers
Exercise
Create an application that uses a custom User Interface (UI) manager. This manager lays out its fields on a diagonal and manipulates the natural focus order.

Displaying a List of Complex Records
Exercise
Create an application that displays a sequence of complex records in a grid with selectable rows.
