Sony has accidentally leaked its CES website a little early, and there is an interesting tidbit of info on there.

From Sony:

“Call friends, talk trash to fellow gamers or catch up with acquaintances via Skype for PSP system.”

Skype, as usual, takes the VoIP lead. There is still no news on when indeed this feature will launch in models, but it looks like 2008 is surely the year for Voice over IP on Sony PSP gaming systems. Will this cause sluggish quarters for Apple and their iPhone? and other mobile device manufacturers? Most likely not as calls from the PSP still must be made where there is an open Wifi signal. Nonetheless, this makes the PSP that much more appealing to non gaming types.
