Having the option to read daily feeds on your mobile device is a real times saver, and way to keep you busy while on transit, or waiting for a meeting to start. There are many different options for this, including the Google Reader for mobile devices, but they dont convert RSS to SMS do they.
Pingie is a new entry into this market space. Its simple online fom allows users to subscribe to feeds by entering an email address, phone number and RSS feed address. The RSS feed will then be whipped up and shipped out to your mobile phone via SMS. This is a great option for mobile phone users that do not have data plans, or workers that have restricted internet access and just have to stay up to date with their latest news feeds.
The Pingie RSS to SMS service is free to use in the beta format, but cellular carrier charges may occur if you dont have an SMS data package.
