Yahoo! is just in the process of unloading a new messaging system. Hold on, how many people still use Yahoo! Messenger? Yes, sure, they do have some cool features, but what makes this one something that people may want to give up their MSN and GTalk apps for?

Yahoo! does have over 100 million users worldwide for its messager application, and they keep on upgrading with interesting new features. This new version of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 adds in:

• A streamlined interface to set custom status messages
  
• The option for automatic sign in to a mobile phone when signing out of a PC
  
• An Import Contacts utility that helps users invite people from address books from other sites like Hotmail, AOL, Gmail, Orkut, MySpace and many more.
  
• New button to quickly select the detailed or compact list view options right from the contact list
• Bigger emoticons
