Norwegian Air has announced a new in-flight internet and phone use service. Only drawback, they are only Europe bound.
Norwegian Air, a budget airline shuttle, will be launching the in-flight communication later this year, and is joining a list of other flights that allow air access (Lufthansa, JetBlue, SkyWay, American Airlines, Virgin America and Alaska Airlines). [...]

Alaska Airlines has announced that it will be testing out in flight internet access using satellite on flights. The broadband service that is getting pumped into flights will get injected into a Boeing 737 next spring and will be available no matter where the jet is flying.
